About Us

 Welcome to Van Hoesen House of Cheesecakes. I started this business as a labor of love. I never set out to be a baker, or a cook for that matter, though I love both. It just happened. Cooking food was my passion, and although I've always loved desserts, I wasn't a big cheesecake fan. I liked cheesecakes but I was never really satisfied with the crust. All of that delicious filling finished with a meager (often tasteless) crust. I was always left feeling like...is that it? Why isn't there more crust? Why isn't that delicious filling finished off with a scrumptious crust?

So, I set out to answer that question many years ago when I made my very first cheesecake from scratch, with an emphasis on creating a scrumptious crust. From that moment onward I made cheesecakes once or twice a year, mainly for friends and family for the holidays. The reactions were never short of amazing. From the first bite, most were hooked, and I've been told more than a thousand times that I should market and sell these. Well, fast forward to today and here we are! 

I don't strive for a perfect look; It's not the world's fanciest cake, but I do strive for great taste and high-quality using only natural, wholesome ingredients without artificial flavors or preservatives. And as cliche as it might sound, they are all made with the love and the passion that I have for high quality and great taste! I hope you like it.
