Refund policy

Overview

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. At Van Hoesen House of Cheesecakes, LLC, we sell cheesecakes exclusively, a perishable food product, and therefore cannot accept returns. However, we do guarantee our product and will issue a refund or replacement product if the product is severely damaged, not edible, or if the shipment was never received.

Refunds and exchanges are time sensitive! Being that cheesecakes are a perishable food product, we ask that you please inspect your package upon delivery to verify that it is not defective or damaged. If the product is defective or damaged, you must notify us within three (3) calendar days of receipt of delivery otherwise requests for refunds or replacement will not be honored. We know when the product was delivered as we receive notification of the delivery date, therefore, please be sure to check your product and notify us within the 3-day timeframe.

Replacement

We only replace items if they are defective, damaged or not received. If any of these situations is applicable, start a request for replacement by contacting us at: support@vanhoesenhouse.com. If the product was defective or damaged, please state the nature of the defect or damage, including a photo of the damaged product. If the product was never received, please indicate this. We will review your request and confirm approval (or denial) by return email within two (2) business days. Please allow processing time of three (3) business days before the product is shipped or delivered. We will notify you of the approximate ship/delivery date and time per our Shipping & Delivery Policy.

Refunds

If you don't want another product and simply want a refund, please specify this when you contact us and the refund will be applied to your credit/debit or other form of electronic payment that was used to initially purchase the product within a certain number of days. The timeframe for the full refund to be applied to your account is not under our control and varies by institution, so please allow a processing time of 5 to 10 business days.

Sale and Gift Items

If the item was purchased on sale, the refund will be made for the actual sale price paid, not the product's regular price. In the event the product was purchased as a gift and shipped to someone other than the purchaser of the product, the purchaser will follow the steps outlined above to receive a refund or to request a replacement product.
